In 1992, The Children’s Cottage Society, with help from the Alberta Home Economist Association, created this labor of love. Quickly after it’s first release, it became a “National Best Seller,” selling thousands of copies across the country. Due to overwhelming requests that continue to pour in, we felt that we couldn’t hold it back any longer. All recipes were tested carefully by a small army of home economists. They endeavored to write the recipes as clearly as possible, and include information that would hopefully clear up kitchen dilemmas which readers might have experienced in the past, making it “user-friendly”.
