Healthy Families Program is a part of the Calgary Regional Home Visitation Collaborative serving Region 3. We give long-term care and support to new babies and their families. We help families to feel good about themselves. We help families to be the best that they can be.
How can a Healthy Families Home Visitor help you?
- A Healthy Families Home Visitor can help you with your new baby. She can help you to learn more about your baby and what will change as your baby grows
- A Home Visitor can help you deal with stress when you have a new baby in your family
- A Home Visitor can help you feel more secure about how to look after your baby so you can feel better about yourself
- A Home Visitor can make sure that your children get what they need to be strong and well
- A Home Visitor can help you to find and connect with other community supports
How do you get the service?
Through your public health nurse, Your public health nurse must make the referral on your behalf.
The Calgary Regional Home Visitation Collaborative has several host agencies providing the Healthy Families Program. These agencies all have designated areas. The Children’s Cottage Society’s Community Health Units are; Airdie, Thornhill, Northill, Haysboro, South and Shaganappi.
